Learning Ground is a Learning Management System developed and maintained by the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS).

How do I log in?
Only users who have a registered account are able to sign in.
You can log in via the homepage. Please enter your username (which will be your registered email address), enter your password and select Log in.
What if I forget my password?
Please click on the request new password link on the log in form and follow the instructions. A one-time log in link will be emailed to your registered email.
Ensure to check your email junk folder just in case.
Will I lose access to a module once I complete it?
No. As long as your licence is valid you will be able to retake a module as many times as you wish.
Can I pause videos while I'm watching them?
Yes. You can pause using the controls that appear when you move the mouse cursor of the video.
Are my responses in my workbook accessible by any other entities?
Your workbook is managed and accessed only by you. AIATSIS nor your organisation saves or accesses your workbook.
How do I access my completion certificate?
- Ensure you have successfully completed your training.
- Navigate to your training from the homepage.
- On the training over view page, select See progress from the left hand side.
- On the followingMy training progress page, you will see the Download certificate link if you have completed this training.
Alternatively, you can view your profile page. Here you can view and download Learning Ground achievements.
For "Core: Culturally responsive teaching" users:
- Your certificate is available from within the training itself, via the lesson "Course completion".
Can our staff do Courses in the Core e-learning suite offline?
The courses available in the Core e-learning suite are web-based courses and so in general you need to be connected to the internet and logged in to Learning Ground to complete them.
However, if you feel there are special circumstances and a pressing need to have any of the courses available offline, there are arrangements that can be made. Please email core@aiatsis.gov.au for more details.
How do I access class results if I am a Class Manager?
You must be logged in and a Class Manager for your class.
- Select MANAGEMENT from the main menu
- Select the relevant Class that you are a Manager of
- On the following screen you can see overall stats for the "training" connected to that class
- You can also download a CSV all users results, as well as a CSV of all users of this class
Why is my module progress not showing as complete?
This is usually due to all required lessons in a module not being registered as complete before submitting your module progress.
Check each lesson for the module has been recorded as done before selecting Submit and continue. See screenshot below.
What do the labels mean when viewing training progress?
For trainings
Status
If any associated modules have been marked as failed, the training will be listed as failed.
When all modules have passed, the training will also be considered as passed
Progress
A percentage of successfully completed modules.
Score
A percentage of all achieved scores for all activities in this training.
For modules
Status
Shows the status for a module. If results have been submitted via the Submit and continue button, the status of the module will be calculated and shown here. Values can include In progress, Complete, or Failed (usually due to the module being submitted before all activities have been completed).
Activities done
Shown as a percentage or fraction of activities done for that module (100%, 1/1 etc.).
Completed on
The date the status for the module was marked as complete.
Score
For each activity in a module, the total score achieved. I.e. 10/10.
